Legislative District 26 Candidates

Walter Mielarczyk

Walter Mielarczyk is a candidate for the New Jersey General Assembly representing LD-26. He grew up and continues to live in Pequannock, where he also earned the rank of Eagle Scout by serving his local community. Walter graduated Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology and currently he works as a R&D Engineering Manager for a NJ based vertical farming company, specializing in growing strawberries indoors. Walter is running for General Assembly because he is concerned about the direction our county has been going. In Trenton, Walter will defend women’s rights and reach across the aisle to protect children from gun violence. He will work to build a better future for New Jersey’s children by supporting Governor Phil Murphy’s Universal Pre-K plan and establishing a statewide free school lunch program to make sure no child goes hungry.

Michael is fueled by the shifting political climate and the belief that government should prioritize the welfare of its citizens over corporations. A proud homeowner in Pequannock, Michael actively serves on the town’s Environmental Committee, working to ensure that residents have access to a safe and clean environment.
